Today June 1st marks start of hurricane season which will continue through November 30. While we don’t have any threats, yet NOAA predictions for 2026 are that activity will be below normal this season which could be good news if the prediction holds. To help you prepare Professional Engineering Inspections has put together a page of recommendations and links to keep you informed about hurricane preparedness in the Greater Houston area. The important thing to remember is to have an exit plan, prepare early, and always have an evacuation plan. Both personally and professionally we have been through many hurricanes, we have a plan and we work it. Our plan has been adjusted over the last few evacuations and allows us to operate the company anywhere so we will be here for you after the hurricane. Our plan that once a hurricane passes, we can return quickly to assess building conditions and help you get back into your home and start recovery after a storm. We want you to be there too. Check out our Recommendations Page which includes links at the bottom to keep you informed of conditions before, during, and after a storm event.
