The vertical board seen at the lower edge of a roof surface. This is typically a 1″ x 4″ board in most common applications. The board covers the ends of the rafters from the roof edge to the soffit.
A metal sleeve or tube that has various uses. A ferrule can be used to divert water from a fireplace flue chase where the flue passes through the cap. A bushing used to secure a pipe joint.
