Professional Engineering Inspections Inc. Policies

Publishing of Reports:

Unless specified otherwise, Professional Engineering Inspections, Inc. issues inspection reports on the evening of the business day following the inspection. Business days are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  Contact our office regarding holidays observed by Professional Engineering Inspections. Professional Engineering Inspections, Inc. provides an inspection report for all work completed and paid for in full.  Our inspection reports will be posted on our website after 4:00 PM each business day.

NOTE: We are not responsible for delays caused by equipment failure, failure to make full payment, or disasters which may delay report delivery.

Distribution of Reports:

Professional Engineering Inspections issues reports in digital format secured in an Adobe Acrobat PDF file.  Our engineering reports are issued in digital format with a verifiable digital signature with a public verification certificate available upon request.  Hard copies of reports are only issued upon request.

The client must ALWAYS PERSONALLY authorize distribution of reports to third parties.  We will not release any client information, including lost passwords, without verification or client approval.

After a report is issued it cannot be reissued.  If you find an irregularity, error, fault, or other concern please contact our office and we will review your concern.  If necessary an addendum will be issued to correct or clarify the report based upon our review.

Method of Distribution:

Inspection reports issued by Professional Engineering Inspections are primarily distributed via our web site in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.  Other methods of distribution including mail, emial, pickup, or FEDEX can be arranaged with the office but may incure additional fees.  Our office should be contacted to determine the cost and availability of the desired method of distribution.

Confirmation:

All Inspections are confirmed the business day prior to the day of the inspection scheduled. If confirmation cannot be made, the inspection will continue as scheduled. The client will be responsible for the full inspection fee for the time slot allocated; however, Professional Engineering Inspections does reserve the right to cancel the inspection for any reason including the inability to confirm the appointment.

Cancellation Policy: 

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the inspection to be performed. If cancellation is made in less than 24 hours to the time of inspection, 1/2 the fee for the inspection is due for the time slot allotted unless the appointment is scheduled for the entire day or you are otherwise notified at the time you make your appointment that this policy has been altered. The cancellation fee for a full day or if the appointment canceled after the inspector arrived on site for the inspection is the full fee for the inspection canceled.

Payment:

Payment is accepted in the form of personal check made payable to Professional Engineering Inspections. Payment is made at or before the time of inspection. If you are not able to attend the inspection, payments may be may be mailed to Professional Engineering Inspections prior to the inspection at the following address:
